My name is Donna and I’m the school director of OPENair Academy at Reunion. As a resident of Reunion, I am very excited to be working with children and families from the community that I live in!
I have been married since 1980 to my husband, Larry. We have two grown children and four beautiful grandchildren. We enjoy football (Broncos, of course!) and hiking in the beautiful Colorado outdoors!
I began my career in early childhood education in 1982, as a preschool teacher. I soon realized that working with children, families, and teachers was my passion. I have over 30 years of experience as a director, trainer and mentor for schools in both Alaska and Colorado. In 2007 I helped open this school. It was one of the most exciting times of my career!
I studied Early Childhood Education at the University of Alaska Anchorage and completed my Colorado director certification through the Community College of Aurora. I continued my studies at Front Range Community College.
I strongly believe that quality early childhood education programs help children develop a love of learning that will last a lifetime. Each child is unique. Each child is competent. Each child deserves the opportunity to discover their world and their individual talents through active hands-on learning experiences. That is what we will strive to provide to OPENair Academy.
My name is Kim. I have my Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Arapahoe Community College and am pursuing my Early Childhood Teaching Licensing from Metropolitan State College of Denver.
I began working in childcare in 2008. I chose to become a teacher because I love watching children explore their interests, watching them grow and develop as little adults, and watching child reach the ah-ha moment in a provocation.
I have two wonderful boys, Aiden and Collin. Aiden was born in 2005 and Collin in 2010. As a family we enjoy being outdoors hiking, camping, four wheeling, snowboarding or dirt bike riding are just a few of our favorite activities. I also enjoy line dancing in my free time.

I was born and raised in Colorado. I have two children, Amber and Ben, as well as my husband, Doug. We have two cats and a dog. I enjoy going for walks. Playing video games, reading, and crocheting.
I have worked in child care for over 13 years. I have studied early childhood education and am working towards director qualifications in Colorado.
I love teaching children because I love the satisfaction of helping a child learn and achieve milestones in their life.
God is first in my life. I love spending time with my children and my church family! I have been married for 32 years to my amazing husband, Brad. I have two sons, Jordan and Zac, and two beautiful daughters-in-law’s. I love volunteering for our church, and reading God’s word. I enjoy riding our Harleys with my husband and our children. I have been a teacher for over 28 years and I wouldn’t trade teaching for anything! I feel that it is a blessing to be a big part of their future. I love all of my children and it is my passion to be a teacher.

I love watching each child grow into an amazing person. I love it when they smile and reach out for me to pick them up! I love snuggling with the babies, and watching them become their own person!
I am currently in classes at Front Range Community College where I am studying Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. My goal is to be a kindergarten or first grade teacher.
I enjoy shopping, playing soccer and volleyball as well watching a good movie. I also speak English and Spanish.
I have been a member of the OPENair team since 2012 as well as a Para-Educator with the Brighton 27J school didstrict.

Hello, my name is Rosalie, but everyone calls me “Rosie!” I have worked here at OPENair Academy since the fall of 2007. I have worked in every classroom! I am married and have one daughter. I love cooking, sewing, gardening, and watching movies.
I love working with all ages of children because you get to see how they act and how they enjoy doing different projects. My enjoyment is seeing how they play and interact with each other –how some children love to read, do puzzles or color! I love to teach them songs and dance with them – we do lots of fun things.
Born and raised in Colorado, I am the mother of two! I love music, camping, fishing, and reading.
Working with OPENair Academy is my first experience working in early childhood education. I cannot wait to see the children grow and learn! I have begun taking classes to expand my knowledge in working with the toddler programs.
I am a dancer and love to sing! I love making people smile. I knew I loved kids ever since I was little and I am very appreciative of every little thing in life.
I love teaching because I enjoy watching kids grow in knowledge, skills, and life. Being able to see them smile puts a smile on my face.
I have worked with children (nanny, babysitting, cared for and entertained) for 5 years and definitely know it is my passion. I will be attending college for my Early Childhood Certificate.

I have son named Max whom was born in 2011 that I adore.
During my free time I enjoy painting, riding bikes, cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with Max.
I am blessed to be named Georgia. I am a very mellow person and my life is awesome. I am the oldest of nine kids. I have six kids of my own and 22 grandchildren. I’m passionate about gardening, jazz music, reading and going to concerts.
I love teaching because of the hugs and smiles the children offer. I also enjoy interacting with young parents and I just love working at OAA.
I earned my Child Development Associate and several classes in Early Childhood Education. I have over 15 years of experience working in the field. I love to teach children art and role play.
I’m a proud Colorado Native who loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.
I am the mother to an amazing little boy. We also have a cat, dog, rat, and fish at home.
I have worked with children in some capacity for over 20 years. I obtained a Master’s degree in school counseling from the University of Northern Colorado, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in in Sociology-Family Studies.
I joined the OPENair team in August of 2014. I love to watch the children learn and grow. It is especially rewarding when I see them make a connection and learn something new.

I have been married since 1998, to my wonderful husband, Jim. I am a mother of 7 lovely children. 3 girls and 4 boys, all but 1 has flown the nest. I have 8 grandchildren ranging from 2-16 and one on the way.
28 foster children have passed through my doors, all of whom I love deeply.
I have been working in childcare on and off for 25 years. I have several degrees and certificates that I obtained through out those years. Most recently I obtained my Early Childhood Teacher Certificate.

I was born and raised in small town Colorado, so I love having adventures in the mountains, like camping and hiking. My favorite things to do are spend time with my family and explore nature.

Hello, my name is Ashley, you can call me Ash. I have been a teacher at OPENair Academy since 2013. I have been married since 2012 to my high school sweetheart! My husband was in the United States Navy and we lived in San Diego, California for a few years before we came back to our home state Colorado. I love the outdoors and being active. I love animals especially my babies. I have two boxers (Max and Roxy) and a teacup yorkie (Lilly). In my free time I love being with my husband, family, and friends. I love new experiences. I am a very friendly and bubbly person! Teaching was always a passion of mine, ever since I was a little girl.
I love watching all of my students in my class grow and learn. It is like watching a beautiful flower bloom! Watching the joy and smile on their faces makes my job so unique and beautiful. They are the reason I love my job so much. I love teaching new and exciting things that they will carry through the rest of their journey in life. Every student that walks through my class leaves a forever footprint in my heart.
I received my associates degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Front Range Community College, then continue my degree at the University of Northern Colorado. I am just shy of receiving my Bachelor’s degree! I have worked with children for 7 years and can’t to get even further in my education to give back to children that I teach!

My husband and I lived in Arvada. I enjoy hiking, camping, swimming, and being outside. I also enjoy puzzles and mind benders! I adore animals, especially dogs and cats.
I have an Associate’s Degree from Front Range Community College, along with 70 hours of random classes that I took based solely upon interest. I have previously worked with children at my church, but this is my first experience in a preschool setting.

My name is Zenona. I was recently married in June of 2015. I have three children all of whom are grown. I spend my free time serving at my church and dancing.
I love teaching because I enjoy seeing the face the children make when they learn something new. It is intriguing for me to watch them and explore their creativity.
I have been teaching preschool for over 20 years and am currently working toward getting my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
I grew up in Canon City, Colorado and I recently moved to this area from Southeastern, Colorado. My five children keep me very busy with school work and activities. In my free time I enjoy reading, playing sports, and traveling.
I decided to become a teacher because I love being with children. I had the most amazing first grade teacher whom inspired me to teach. I like interacting with children and seeing their knowledge and sights first hand has always amazed me. I also enjoy seeing the look on their faces when they learn something new.
I have my Associates Degree in Special Education. I have worked at several different centers including one in Georgia and spent some time in Arizona as an Aid in Special Education Classroom. The last few years I was a volunteer and substitute teacher in a K-12 school.

I have worked with children from infants to 12 years of age since 1996. I have my Associates degree in general studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education.
I enjoy being creative by finding new materials to paint with and creating 3-D sculptures. I also love animals and enjoy helping children to learn to care for animals.
The thing that I enjoy the most about working with children is that “ah-ha” moment when they learn something new or accomplish something they have been working on for a while.
In my spare time I enjoy going swimming with my step kids, taking my dogs for a walk, going to the park, playing board games, and snuggling up to watch a good movie.
I am the youngest of six children and I am a twin. Karen is my sister, but not my twin! I have lived in Colorado since I was 6 years old, moving here with my family from New Jersey. I love Colorado and the Denver Broncos!
I began working in early childhood education in 1985. I have done every job under the umbrella of child care from janitor, bus driver, teacher, assistant director, cook and the “go to girl!” I also worked for 15 years as a paraprofessional with special needs children in both elementary and high school levels and taught life skills classes. I received Honor Teacher and Master Educator awards, as well an all- star award for working with special needs students. I received my Director certificate in 1997 and continue taking classes to help myself grow.
I love seeing the kids’ progress throughout year, seeing smiles on their faces after they accomplish something for the first time and all of the hugs that I get each day!
I am a very energetic and out doorsy person. I love being outside playing sports or playing with my four dogs.
My favorite part of teaching is watching children as they discover something new and their whole face lights up.
I received my Child Development associate and began teaching in 2015. Aside from teaching I have had the opportunity to be a youth cheerleader coach for four years. I also have medical training as I am working towards my paramedic license.
I grew up in New Jersey in a military family, I went to high school and college in Colorado. I enjoy cooking, music, reading and I am a movie buff! I love to travel and trying my luck in Blackhawk.
I have been working in early childhood education since 1984. I joined the OAA team in May 2010. I studied early childhood education at the Community College of Aurora where I completed course work for early childhood teacher and director qualifications. I am also a professional cake decorator and caterer!
I love seeing the excitement in a child’s eyes when they realize a discovery and when I see them execute a task that I have taught them! I enjoy storytelling and my favorite days are when they children are here all day, not in school!
My husband and I have two beautiful children, along with two nephews and two nieces. I have live in commerce city for 8 years. I was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado.
